The quick-release hotend might finally get me to use different nozzle sizes

I have a Prusa MK4S. At first I was hesitant to change nozzles. I guess just laziness? Or fear that's it's dialed in and I'm messing with it. Possibly a combination. Now I do it all the time. The print speed difference AMAZING, switching to a 0.8 when it's applicable to the part I'm making. I constantly go back and forth between 0.4 and 0.8.

WATCH This Before Upgrading to the PRUSA MK4S

The MK4S is an upgrade kit for the MK4, featuring stronger PCCF parts, a new LCD cover, and a larger cooling fan. While the upgrade process is straightforward, its performance improvements over the MK4 are minimal in most print quality tests and print times.

Which 3D printer surprised you the most after long-term use ?

It wasn't actually surprising but after thousands of hours on both machines, I just have to say I'm really happy with Prusas. I have MK4 at work and MK4S at home. I'm not the type of person who has a screwdriver in hand all the time, quite the opposite but I took upgrading MK4 to MK4S at home as a challenge. Got myself the kit and felt like a real mechanic for a few hours, lol. The surprise part is how easy it was. You don't need any experience with technical things at all. I read a comparison to Lego and it's actually quite fitting – you get a manual so you don't mess it up and then you just go step by step until it's finished. And then there is their support. As I said, I'm not the technical type at all so I wasn't really surprised it failed some heating test after the upgrade. I contacted the support via chat (on Saturday night!), they navigated me how to use the multimeter to check where is the problem and sent me the part I accidentally damaged immediately. Maybe it's not that shocking but it is for me, I haven't experienced such a positive interaction with customer support in my life.

Beginner 3d printer

As you didn't mention the budget, I would strongly recommend Prusa. MK4S is lovely, easy to use for a complete beginner, you get a very handy manual with it, Prusa slicer is very intuitive and the quality of printing is awesome. I didn't have any problem with mine so far but their support is available 24/7 in 7 languages, so if there would be any, I expect it to be solved super quick.
