I also do ASA and ABS on C1 and it works absolutely fine. Takes a lot of time to heat up tho.

Switching from Prusa Core One L to H2S - What should I buy?

The short answer from now would be something like: if you want to be a maker and really like to get into 3d printing and have the time for this, get a prusa! If you just want to print get a bambu .. I choosed the prusa because of it's reliability, but I think the core one L isn't yet best calibrated and the printing profiles are also really basic. So you need to spend time in some cases to get good results... The bambu just prints, it's a masterpiece of technology but hopefully it doesn't break to early... If you don't really need the big building volume I would max choose the x2d?

What is the best consumer 3d printer to buy for engineering?

I print Asa with my core one and the results were great! Maybe an actively heated chamber is essential, maybe it isn’t. Hard to say from my pov. But since I print mostly pla and petg the core one is great. And it can venture to pc tpu Asa and pa without much troubles. For a home scale printer that costs $1k that’s pretty great, and you can avoid the whole bambu fiasco.
