(Neptune 4 Plus) 2 Blobs of death, 2 hot end replacements, and more than a few tears - No idea where to go from here.

just constant inconsistent calibration and tuning for a solid week with a few 'okay' prints in-between. So as a bit of background, I got my first 'blob of death' a month ago on my Neptune 4 Plus, which after 2ish years of use without a major fail I wasn't too upset so I reached out to Elegoo support (It's well out of warranty but I was mostly seeking advice on fixing it). They suggested buying a replacement hot-end which I did, and after installing it worked pretty well, but I did find I needed to do some more calibration after making sure I had some new dry filament. This is where the other issues came in, just constant inconsistent calibration and tuning for a solid week with a few 'okay' prints in-between mostly with stringing and flow issues. Finally as everything started looking okay I did one last flow rate test and another blob fully covering the hot-ends wiring again. :( I've taken it apart and I'm just feeling so defeated with this, I've loved being able to tinker and learn new skills on this machine for the last few years but at this point I don't know what to do or what I'm doing wrong, and know I'm just staring at the aftermath wondering if I should try again with another new hot-end, or just call it with this machine.

3D Printer Recommendations for hobbying? $200–$500 Budget, First Printer!

I started with a cheap bedslinger (Neptune 4 Plus) but now have the Centauri Carbon and a Bambu Labs P2S on the way. I like that I can easily run a fume extrator duct from the enclosed printer to a window vent which lets me print while I am working in the same room; even PLA irritates my throat. I rarely miss the build plate dimensions of the Neptune 4 Plus.

How do I go about this...

I had the same thing happen on my Neptune 4 plus. I tried for hours to get the plastic out with no luck. I went ahead and ordered a new print head assembly 1 for ease and 2 because I was unsure that all the electronics would be safe even if I got the plastic out
