Elegoo Mars 4 Ultra / Saturn 3 Ultra

The only failures i had with the saturn were either because of low resin temperature, or slicing issue- bad usb. With the mars i had more fails, for some reason leveling that small shit was hard for me. To me i prefer using Saturn 3 because of the build plate volume. Printing quality is more based more on the resin you use than the printer, or at least that far i could tell. At the end of the day i cpuld say its a matter of preference, if you want a small printer or a big one. I bought the mars first myself then went for the saturn. Im currently between going for the new jupiter or wait for like a year and hope for saturn 4

also, calibration of build plate is a bit tricky with the mars ultra, i have issues getting it dialed down. Beside the missing certification. i know a dental lab we are working with uses a miicraft (dont know the type) and another formlabs. Me personally i would go with the formlabs tbh

Elegoo mars 4 ultra opinion

It’s nice. It’s my first resin printer so I have no basis for comparison but if you choose to get it just know there’s an issue with the bed leveling that me and many people others have had. The card the comes with the printer to level the plate is too thick and will cause the prints to not stick to the build plate. You have to use. Regular sheet of paper and push down really hard on the plate when you snug the screws. There is also an issue with sending wireless prints if you’re using anti aliasing. We’re still waiting for a firmware update to fix it. I do kind of regret getting it because of the small build plate compared to the Saturns. Print quality is great though but unless you print at 20 microns you aren’t gonna notice a difference against the mars 3 pro which is selling for $177 now on Amazon.
