Needing this object is pushing me buy a 3D printer

I have run a decent amount of ASA on mine and its come out fine. I would second this. The P1s is no slouch, but the Centauri Carbon is basically just as capable for less. I have run a decent amount of ASA on mine and its come out fine as long as you heat soak the chanber with a hot heatbed for a but before printing. Just know ASA needs to be lrinted in a ventillated room as it off gasses a not plesent chemical

Or print your templates in ASA and worry less. Enclosures aren't just about airflow, they are about air control, so yeah, temperatures matter and sometimes you want that chamber hot. Bigger isn't always better. Based on my recent experience, if you're going to pony up $800, ignore Bambu entirely and get a SnapMaker U1. If you mostly plan to do single color prints, a Centauri Carbon is hard to beat, and you can buy two of them and a bunch of accessories for the price of a U1.

upgrade, salvage & update current older printer(s) or 'sell' and "upgrade" to modern?

I went the cheaper route and bought a new reliable printer. Buy a new machine. Centauri carbon, cheap as snot, bulletproof, can print anything, enclosed chamber, I print ASA all day long and just ran some TPU, it's a great machine. Before this I was always working on the machine, i never got to print, so I said hell, it would cost me more in parts to upgrade the machine i had to make it work - so i went the cheaper route and bought a new reliable printer. I still get to tinker, but on things I WANT to tinker on WHEN i want to tinker, not because I HAVE to and it BLOCKS me from printing. Big difference.
