Creality k2 se grinding build plate

I have been having the same issue since January. Support has had me change strain gauges reflash firmware and do factory resets. Nothing helped until I started using Orca software instead of Creality's. Enter all the nozzle parameters from Creality into Orca including the Machine Start G Code. All my problems were solved. Creality software has a glitch with the K2 SE and they are not willing to admit its the software.

The BEST BUDGET 3D Printer 2026 – TOP 5 Champion Picks (FlashForge vs. Creality vs. Elegoo)

The Creality K2 SE Combo brings multicolor printing to a more accessible platform with its Creality Filament System (CFS), supporting multi-material and multicolor prints without needing a vastly more expensive standalone system. It matches impressive 500 mm/s print speeds with a solid metal frame and smart autoleveling.

I'm swapping to an Ender 3 V3 SE to a KE. Is it worth it?

I started with an SE and basically upgraded everything on it, to make it pretty much a KE If you have the skills and patience I'd do that instead, it's going to be far cheaper. Ceramic Hot End - same as stock KE RPi Running Klipper - gives you full control over the firmware and 300oc printing with the ceramic Spend £20 / $20 on some fans and self print the shrouds Cheap silicone spaces PEI Gold Bedplate Runout sensor You'll end up with something that resembles a KE and you'll learn a lot in the process Then I jacked it all in and got a K2 SE 😅 which is soooo much better

Compare the K2 SE with the K2 - it's not a fair fight! It prints fine but ITS NOT A K2!!

The K2 SE is described as printing fine, with a build volume of 220x215x245, but is heavily criticized for lacking features found on the K2, such as an enclosure and a camera. Its print head is noted to be similar to the K1's, and it uses a different nozzle than the K2.

Creality k2 se grinding build plate

My K2 SE is doing the exact same thing. After a filament change it grinds into the bed in the exact same spot and has almost the same pattern. The last time it cased the z-axis to jump gears. Did replacing the sensor fix the issue for you? My only solution has been a factory reset after each filament change.
