On the fence k2 plus or H2D

I personally wouldn’t recommend the K2 Plus. It was such an annoying machine for the nearly 1k hours of usage. From someone that’s had both, I personally wouldn’t recommend the K2 Plus. It was such an annoying machine for the nearly 1k hours of usage I put on it. The H2D is better, but it’s not without its faults either. I’ve had the H2D since launch and nearly at 2k hours on it. First two weeks I had to replace the extruder unit due to it constantly overloading. Next was the MC Board due to it overheating. Now it’s a pretty solid machine. But part of me still can’t justify the cost for an extra nozzle. Honestly I’m waiting for more affordable tool changers to hit the market. While I enjoy the H2D, I long for a true tool changer since I’ve been working on more colorful prints for my girlfriend.

Do Not Buy Creality K2 Plus!!!

The creator purchased three K2 Plus printers, all of which exhibited severe Z-banding issues on tall prints and problems with the print bed degrading. He found them unreliable and unsuitable for his professional print service.

K2 models relative value for money?

The best value for the money is still the k2 plus. The combo is cheaper now than before which was 1499 msrp. The huge size, tremendous speed, versatility of materials, and overall automation makes it the best value compared to the k2 pro and the base models. 300 mm isnt pro size if you ask me. We have quality servo motors with two independent for the z axis no belts involved, fantastic aluminum sturdy frame, heated chamber, looks very nice, adequate size, glass door and top. Nice features. I do not settle for anything less than all of this.

Bambu Lab X1C vs K2 Plus Comparison Unsponsored

The Creality K2 Plus Combo offers an impressive build size and faster print speeds, making it ideal for larger projects. While it generally performs well and has good customer service, some specific prints showed imperfections, and its multi-material system produced more waste.

Should I pull the trigger is it worth it

After having what I would say is an excellent experience with running 6 K1 MAXs I thought the purchase of the K2 Plus was going to be an upgrade for doing the larger prints. Honestly, build quality is pretty solid and full Klipper with Fluid and Moonraker installed is great, but the extruder motor and drive have been a nightmare. It's been replaced 4 times in a 1000 hrs and just failed again with only 62 hours on the new one 46 hours into a large multi-color print (the whole reason it was purchased). Just finished putting it back in the box and will either get a custom printhead for it or use it for parts on a custom build. CFS units have issues also but is easily fixed by occasional cleaning. Keep the K1M and get a different brand for a large-scale printer.
