Creality vs bambu lab reliability?

My K1C has been amazing. It prints what I want, beautifully, when I want it. I've printed so many usable items for friends and family and still going strong. I printed a mug handle I modeled for a friends coffee mug that broke and she's used it for over a year daily. Might actually look into that k2 plus combo. I've haven't done any real maintenance over the 2 years I've owned it besides some grease and cleaning. Almost 600 hours of printing.

Complete lockdown of K1C 2025

K1C 2025 Big disappointment. We used creality printers at my work, now the new K1C 2025 cannot connect via IP as the connection is made but a 404 error shows. Adding to this there is no root access. we used the open Klipper to fine tune the machines yet now this mite cost me my job as I advised to get the K1C yet it is Now "Unusable". it is so bad that companies use open source software - Klipper (Others hard work) and lock it up to force people to use only their items. The community that built you is just going to turn away from you. Look what happened to XYZ Printing in 2023.

Bambu A1 vs Creality Hi

Honestly, coming from an Ender 3 S1 where you’ve mostly had issues, I’d lean toward the A1. The big difference is how much you want to tinker vs just print. The A1 is way more “it just works” out of the box. Auto calibration, good profiles, less time messing with settings. The Hi is cheaper and more open, but it’s still more in that Creality ecosystem where you might end up tweaking stuff more than you want. Since you said reliability matters and you’re not really into multicolor, the A1 (even non-combo) probably makes more sense. The AMS is nice for convenience, but yeah, it can be wasteful. K1C is solid too, but yeah the smaller build volume is a real tradeoff depending on what you print.
