Printer Upgrade Recommendations

It is about how to get it to run like it should. Right side = AMS2 it comes with + another AMS2 8 spools for the 6 nozzles and 2 spools for filament run out Left side = To have filament run out you need either a dedicated AMS2 or 2x HT. It is cheaper by 30 to get HTx2 This is the side you put your most used filament on. This will either be the main color or dedicated support material. This really should have 2 spools. It does not come with a full set of .4 nozzles (so need a couple) 2400 + 300 + 270 + 120 with out a spare build plate, without spare nozzles, without an alternate nozzle size. H2D combo Comes with AMS2 Add HTx2 for the other side 2000+270 Nozzles are cheaper (only 2 per set) So ready to go to work is over 1k cheaper than the H2C, and cheaper to own. Just not very good at higher color counts. So not ideal for toys.

3D Printer recommendatios for a bakery business

The H2D may be a good option if you want to print in ABS with supports & post-process with acetone vapor smoothing. Without knowing how large the molds you are considering making, I'd probably suggest the Bambu Labs P2S or H2 (H2S or H2D). They are easy to get started with & can do just about everything. The H2D may be a good option if you want to print in ABS with supports & post-process with acetone vapor smoothing to essentially remove all layer lines for your molding molds (don't do this anywhere near your food or where you work -- it gives off harmful fumes. Use proper PPE!). Although truthfully, you can get pretty darn invisible layers with a 0.2mm nozzle & small layer lines. The Elegoo CC is also an option, but it's not quite as turnkey (still very turnkey, but not as much as Bambu & not known for reliability).

So the Snapmaker U1 or the Bambulab X2D?

I have done nearly 5000 hours on my H2D and next to no problems. The main problem I had was nozzle blocker broke a few times and that could been me. Not had any for 3 or 4000 hours though. The nozzle wipe always comings off but not that often now. The U1 do get a lot of errors or codes faults and had the filament feeder replaced and done about 1000 hours and only do for a hobby. A lot for family and friends though. But the U1 when it's working it does save time and alot filament. So ift just depends if you're doing alot of multi coloured prints then I would go for U1. It is a good printer and only time will tell if it's going to be as reliable as H2D. Before I got U1 I was going to go for Bambu H2C but with the price for U1 being about the third of cost to the H2C. I am happy with the U1 though.
