By and large this. What makes the U1 better on TPU though? I’ve run TPU intake wheels for my robot on a few different Bambu printers and it came out great.

The H2D may be a good option if you want to print in ABS with supports & post-process with acetone vapor smoothing. Without knowing how large the molds you are considering making, I'd probably suggest the Bambu Labs P2S or H2 (H2S or H2D). They are easy to get started with & can do just about everything. The H2D may be a good option if you want to print in ABS with supports & post-process with acetone vapor smoothing to essentially remove all layer lines for your molding molds (don't do this anywhere near your food or where you work -- it gives off harmful fumes. Use proper PPE!). Although truthfully, you can get pretty darn invisible layers with a 0.2mm nozzle & small layer lines. The Elegoo CC is also an option, but it's not quite as turnkey (still very turnkey, but not as much as Bambu & not known for reliability).

On the fence k2 plus or H2D

I agree with a lot of people here. I have had the K2 Plus for over a few months. The H2D for a few weeks and have had to tinker with the K2 Plus for a big had a big clog and have had bed issues since day one. Right now the system is telling me something is wrong with my belt tension but its printing ok. The K2 Plus is a beast and give out great prints dont get me wrong! I do agree you have to mess with it and keep a eye on it. The H2D has been a work horse and printing REALLY GOOD! Only problem I had was last night a clog (small) because the chamber got to hot! Besides that no issues! If you have the money and dont want to tinker to much (H2D you will eventually have to tinker) I would go with the H2D. If you dont mind tinkering and working with stuff here and there I would go with the K2 Plus and save some money!
