Anycubic Kobra S1 Max the right choice?

Problem so far is clogging. Large 1st layer prints sometimes cause molten filament in the nozzle to climb up to the cold part of the nozzle. When it prints it looks good. Problem so far is clogging.  Large 1st layer prints sometimes cause molten filament in the nozzle to climb up to the cold part of the nozzle. When this happens, there is nothing you can do other than changing the nozzle. There is no mechanism to unclog that filament from so far up the nozzle. I have changed the nozzle 4 times in a week. Another thing to notice, even tho it is easy to change the nozzle, if you change the size of the nozzle the firmware forces a complete full re-calibration which takes almost an hour.

K2 Plus Vs Kobra S1 Max With 3D Printed Models | Part 2

Purchase Advice Megathread - August 2026

Take a look at the Anycubic kobra s1 MAX. You can buy it without the combo (4 filament heater/dryer unit). It’s a 350x350x350 volume. With a heated chamber for engineering filaments. I think the normal price is around $850USD for the combo & $700 for the solo unit. They have an aliexpress store where I got the combo for something like $720 back in May. I have a fleet of 8 printers (bambu, anycubic, flashforge) and the s1 max is by far my favorite. Even over the new creator 5 pro.

Sixth printer in the farm… first one I actually paid for

I just bought me a u1 as well, it now joins my P1S, CC1, KobraX, & Kobra S1 Max. They are all work horses and I have 0 problems with any of them. the U1 has been chugging right along with it with out skipping a beat. Print some Hula Feet for it they make a world of difference.
